Big Spot Scam? Free Online Paid Surveys?

You have probably seen their TV ads at one time or another. Many people want to know if a Big Spot scam is real or not. First of all, Big Spot is not even a survey site. They don’t provide their own paid online surveys that you can fill out on their site. After you sign up, you will have to sign up separately for each of the survey companies they provide. Big Spot is basically a survey directory.

The problem with third party directories like Big Spot is that some of the survey sites it recommends aren’t trusted. These sites collect personal information when you sign up, which opens the door to junk mail at your home and spam in your email box. In today’s world of identity theft and Internet scams, signing up for unknown survey sites in this manner is probably not a good idea, not to mention having to sign up with multiple sites is an inconvenience for the survey taker.

One of the survey companies inside BigSpot.com is Global Test Market. Some people like Global Test Market, but they’re another site that gets a lot of bad reviews online.

The collection of personal information is probably the biggest complaint about Big Spot, but another complaint is that many people seem to receive the same paid online surveys, regardless of the demographic information entered when signing up. Many people who have signed up for surveys through this site were prompted to sign up for product trial offers and received email spam and telemarketing calls shortly after.

The only thing that separates Big Spot from other survey directories is the fact that they don’t charge any fees. Still, I don’t recommend this site. It could be dangerous. If you look them up, there are all sorts of complaints. Whether Big Spot is really a scam or not is uncertain. There are better places to make money from paid online surveys without having to waste a lot of time and take unnecessary risks.
