Break Studios: A Demand Media Studios Alternative

In my opinion, Demand Media Studios is probably one of the best get paid to write sites for beginner freelance writers, or experienced writers. I have searched the Internet for comparable sites that pay $15 up front per article, but I can’t find one. Although my experience with Demand Studios has been pretty good, there are many freelancers who wish to find another place to write articles and make money online. If you are looking for another site for freelance writers, Break Studios is a pretty good site overall. This might be one of the best Demand Studios alternatives.

Break Studios now pays twice a month, instead of having to wait for one monthly payment. Who knows, eventually the site may even pay twice per week like Demand Studios does. The twice per week payments are a nice advantage. Break Studios will pay you $8 for a well written article.

Titles are selected from their article pool and articles go through an editor before you get paid. Some of the Break Studios titles are really weird and off-the-wall. There are quite a few titles I would never consider writing. Writing for Break Studios is more laid back than Demand Studios, but there’s also way less titles available, which means you have to grab new titles quickly before they’re gone.

I just logged into my BS account and there are no titles showing at all. I have not written any articles there for a long time so maybe they cut me off from the titles for lack of activity, I don’t know.

If you want to write for Break Studios, you have to apply and submit a writing sample. This is easy if you already write for Demand Studios, or another site. They will respond pretty quickly by email to confirm your acceptance, or rejection. If you get accepted, then you can freelance write and make money online whenever you want. Writing an article for an $8 payment is not very good, but the writing is easy for the most part. Many freelance writers who dislike Demand Studios enjoy writing for Break Studios.

It’s certainly possible to work from home writing for this site, but at $8 per article, you would have to pump out more articles to make a livable income in the United States, not to mention putting money aside to pay taxes on your earnings.  The site is best for writers and freelancers who want a place to make money writing online in between projects, or to simply earn extra cash. I think Break Studios is a decent place to write simple articles and earn money online twice per month, but there may even be a better site out there.
