How To Choose Killer Keywords That Will Drive Traffic To Your Blog

If you are writing articles to drive traffic to your blog, it won’t be effective unless you choose targeted keywords. Hunting for keywords is boring, but it’s also the most important part of SEO and it will determine whether your articles get found, or buried deep within search engine results.

Many people fly through the research part without planning and hope for the best. Don’t make that mistake. Keyword research is easy with the right tools and knowledge.

Here are some tips for choosing killer keywords to drive targeted traffic to your blog…

1. Are You Using Converting Keywords or Information Keywords?

If your goal is to sell products or make money from Adsense, stay away from information keywords. For example, a keyword like “crate training puppies” is an information keyword because the Web surfer is likely only looking for tips about crate training a puppy and will be less likely to buy a product.

RedGage: Get Super Fast Backlinks and Earn Passive Income

RedGage is a useful social bookmarking site where you can bookmark your blog or website and receive a long term dofollow backlink in the search engines. RedGage is best for backlinking purposes, especially to help get a brand new niche site or blog indexed quickly.

After you first publish your new site on the Internet, bookmark the URL on Red Gage and you will see Google index your content pretty quickly, and you will also receive a little traffic trickling through from the RedGage site. Although you can earn money on RedGage, it’s not very much, so don’t expect big money. I have earned a few bucks here and there simply by submitting various content, but I only use the site for SEO reasons.

RedGage currently holds a PR4 which is decent. The one thing I have noticed is that the backlinks there last a really long time in the search engines and the PR4 status helps your content move forward in the search engines faster. Even though the bookmarks only consist of a few sentences, titles without heavy keyword competition will appear on page 1 of Google, or pretty close, which will bring some nice traffic through the link to your blog or website.

Increase passive income online using Page360 for bookmarking

********UPDATE 6-14-11: It looks like Page360 no longer exists. I cannot find the site anywhere so disregard this post and use the other sites mentioned in this blog for dofollow backlinking. **********

Page360 is a social bookmarking site where you earn shared Adsense revenue, while promoting your freelance writing at the same time. Page360 is very similar to She Told Me and both share 100% revenue and they both have the same feel. Page360 is one of many excellent social bookmarking sites you can use to backlink your article content and earn more passive income online from Adsense and affiliate marketing.

Get backlinks with Infopirate

After reading some positive Infopirate reviews, I decided to join and give it a chance. You get backlinks by submitting articles on Infopirate and the backlinks are supposedly do follow. On InfoPirate the Adsense revenue share percentage is 80%. You must add your Adsense publisher ID to your Infopirate account after joining, in order to collect Adsense earnings.

Infopirate reminds me of She Told Me, because it’s very easy to post content in a short amount of time. It’s nice to be able to quickly write your article, post it and move on. I’ve been using Infopirate for less than one week and I’ve already started earning some Adsense money. I don’t think I’ve ever earned any Adsense money using She Told Me, but it’s worth using for backlinking.

I’ve noticed articles on Infopirate get a lot of page views in a short amount of time. The site obviously gets a lot of traffic and I think they have been around longer than some of the other social bookmarking sites. Infopirate may not be one of the most popular sites for social bookmarking and backlinking, but I’ve noticed articles get indexed in the search engines within two hours after publishing.

Increase Traffic To Blog: 4 Effectitve Steps

Everyone knows that if you want to make money from your blog, you need to get targeted web traffic and lots of it. A blog without traffic is dead, but there are many effective ways to start getting the traffic you need to bring your blog back to life.

Here are 4 ways to get more blog traffic…

1. Tags

Always use tags before publishing an article. Tags make it easy for the search engines to find your content online. WordPress and most social bookmarking sites give you the option to enter keywords into a tags section below the article. If you have a WordPress blog, activate the plug-in called All-In-One SEO Pack and enter your keywords into its tag field. This will improve SEO and traffic.

Also, submit your blog to Technorati and use the tags there because it really makes a difference. Be sure to enter your best keywords into the tags section. Technorati is a massive site that will help increase traffic to your blog fast.

Build do-follow backlinks with She Told Me

I joined She Told Me a while back for backlinking purposes. She Told Me is on my list of top sites to use to backlink articles and earn more passive income from freelance writing. I’ve noticed an increase in web traffic since I started using the site. I like She Told Me because it’s quick and easy. If you’re familiar with article marketing, you know how boring and time consuming it can be, but it’s essential for increasing web traffic to make money writing.

She Told Me is free and most importantly, they share Adsense revenue with you. If you’re going to use article marketing methods to promote your freelance writing efforts, you might as well get paid for it. I will admit though that I’ve barely earned any Adsense money from the site, but I don’t care because that’s not the reason I go on there. The extra Adsense money is a bonus if it happens.

Shetoldme helps increase your article’s performance in the search engines, because your backlinks are do follow. She Told Me articles are called “scoops” and they should be at least 200 words, but I write at least 400 words to get noticed by the search engines more.
