Demand Studios Increased The Payout for Certain Titles

If you are currently an active writer for Demand Studios then you have likely noticed a few $16.50 titles scattered throughout the article pool. Demand Media Studios started a new $1.50 increase for certain time sensitive titles. This is not for every article, only for tricky titles that are believed to demand more time for completion.

There is also a pay increase for some titles that are designated for eHow Home, eHow Money and the beta Tech and Auto sites. In case you are not a Demand Media Studios writer, the sites I just mentioned are sites the company owns. At this time, the new $16.50 titles are available only for the regular eHow site. Some of the eHow Home titles are now available at $17.50 and eHow Money at $26.50. Not bad. Tech is $19.50 and the Auto site $18.50.

I used the search filter to locate the $16.50 titles and there were quite a few available, but some of the titles I found were not titles I would want to write and most did in fact sound a little complex. The payout increase may only be temporary, but hopefully not. Demand Media Studios is obviously looking to get rid of difficult titles that have been sitting in the article pool. A payout increase should have been implemented a long time ago.

According to the site, there are no special guidelines or rules for writing the higher paying articles. It seems that most of these articles are only available in the “How to” format, which might make it a little harder to write than the “Topic View” format. If you are not a freelance writer for Demand Studios, you can apply for a writing position through their site. You must include a writing sample with your application. Within a week or so of submitting your application, you should receive a confirmation for your acceptance or rejection.
