Global Test Market Scam? Is It Legit?

Is the Global Test Market scam a reality, or is it a legit survey site? This article will provide you with the answer. Global Test Market is a free paid online survey panel founded in 1999. As the name implies, the site provides free paid surveys online globally and in 200 countries. Their surveys are available for adults and even teenagers 14-17 years of age.

Similar to many survey panels on the Web, Global Test Market rewards members with points when surveys are completed. The points, referred to as “market points”, are redeemable for cash. It is unclear how many points you are awarded per survey, but a few people report that each completed survey awards between 50-100 points.  You must earn 1000 points ($50) before they will pay you.

The payment threshold of $50 is a little high among survey sites. Conservatively, you will have to complete at least 10 surveys before you get paid and that’s if you get 100 points rewarded per survey, which is not guaranteed. You probably aren’t going to qualify for every single survey either.

Although the site is said to be legitimate, I found several Global Test Market scam complaints concerning missing payments, non-responsive customer service and several others.

Another Global Test Market complaint were members reporting a screen out in the middle or end of a paid survey. A screen-out is basically a sudden termination of a survey. A screen-out usually happens at the worst possible times, either in the middle of filling out a survey, or right at the end when you’re about to finish. To be fair, it is a common occurrence with paid surveys online, but still, quite a few survey takers report screen-out problems with the surveys on Global Test Market.

It takes about 20 minutes to fill out a survey on Global Test Market. Their paid online survey topics include everything from movies, restaurants and various consumer products. New survey invitations are sent by email and the site claims to increase the amount of invitations for members who remain active on the site, so you will have to use the site frequently to get the most out of it.

New members can start completing free paid surveys online shortly after registering. United States residents are paid via check 4 to 6 weeks after accumulating 1,000 market points ($50) and non US residents don’t receive payments for 6 to 8 weeks! That is a little long to wait for your money.

So is the Global Test Market scam true? It kind of sounds like it, judging by all the negative reviews online. I want to be sure that I’m going to get paid for surveys I complete. So why take the risk of getting scammed when there are so many better options?

If you want to spend time earning cash from surveys, the better option is to sign up with a trusted and free paid survey site like CashCrate. They actually pay you for completed surveys and you earn cash from each one, not points. They also provide different ways to make money in addition to taking surveys. You can complete offers, play games and win prizes using points you accumulate when playing free games. CashCrate is totally free. You will receive a check in the mail after you earn $20.  Sign up on CashCrate and start making money today.

I’m so glad I’ve just visited this site because I’ve joined many online surveys which are supposed to be legit but have had many problems with them, the problems you’ve mentioned above, wich can be extremely very frustrating and upseting as I spend quite a bit of my time filling out surveys, which some surveys can take up to almost a hour sometimes, promising to take just 30 minutes, which isn’t always true in any case! so reading what you’ve written has really put things into perspective and made me think twice about carrying on with some surveys, in fact I’m going to cancel some of my accounts with them right now! so Thank you for your reviews!

    Kind regards

    Christine

  2. Christine,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and it’s great to hear that you found my site helpful. I agree, some online surveys are definitely frustrating and a waste of time, but I’m glad my reviews have helped you separate the good survey sites from the bad, so you can dump the ones that aren’t working for you. Drop in again to read my latest reviews and share your thoughts.

  3. Shobir,
Thank you. I wouldn’t count on substantial income from any survey site. It is only a means to earn extra money, but stop by again and share your experience.
    Best wishes.
    Matt
