InboxDollars Review – Is It Worth Your Time?
InboxDollars is an online rewards club, not a survey site, who claims you can make money doing things like reading email messages, completing offers and short opinion surveys. If you are reading this, you probably want to know if rumors about an alleged Inbox Dollars scam are real or not.
Is it a scam? No. Will you make a lot of money? No way. I have used both InboxDollars and its sister site SendEarnings, which are exactly the same. This InboxDollars review will provide you with useful information and my personal advice.
Let’s take a closer look at what the site advertises…
Get Paid to Read Emails
The thought of getting paid to read email messages sounds like a super easy way to make some money online, which is why most people join, but to be honest, it sucks. Paid email, at least through InboxDollars, is probably the worst way to earn money online.
Literally, it would take 2 years for you to earn enough money to meet the payout threshold, which happens to be $30. This is because each email pays no more than 10 cents, usually only 1 cent. You get roughly 4-5 of these emails daily.
If you decide to go the paid email route, which I don’t recommend, be sure to use a separate email address, otherwise your primary email inbox will look like a billboard by the end of the day. I really don’t recommend making money this way. I have tried it myself a long time ago and it really is a waste of time. In fairness, paid email is not meant to be a big money-maker obviously. It is only good for pocket change.
Paid Surveys
This is not a site that specializes in paid surveys, so if you want to make money filling out a bunch of surveys, you are better off using the site mentioned at the end of this article. InboxDollars provides a very limited amount of daily surveys, usually only 1 to 2 at the most and they pay $1, which isn’t bad, but I found it difficult to qualify for their surveys every time I tried to take one.
Paid Trial Offers
Completing offers is the only way to make any real money from the site, since everything else they provide amounts to pocket change, but the problem is that most of their offers are not free. The free ones pay up to $1.50, but those are limited.
In order to complete most of their offers, especially the ones with bigger payouts, you must enter your credit card number and pay a shipping and handling fee. The payout for those offers is much greater, typically 3 times as much as the shipping and handling cost, which is good, but still, you have to use your credit card.
I recommend that you stay away from offers requiring a credit card and only use sites that provide a big selection of offers that are 100% free and that don’t require a credit card. Filling out offers for money is not for everyone, but it is a good way to make money online fast. You can make hundreds of dollars at the end of the month from free offers and completed surveys, using the right site.
Get Paid to Play Games
This is basically the same as their paid email, as far as earnings go. You get paid 5 to 10 cents for each game you play. Obviously playing games for money is not a reliable source of monthly income. Again, this is a little extra pocket money and nothing more.
Here are a few more things you should know about InboxDollars…
Fees to Get Paid
That’s right. They charge a $3 processing fee. The $3 fee is deducted from your earnings. Payments are made via check. While $3 isn’t a lot of money, it is still a fee that other sites don’t charge. InboxDollars doesn’t tell you about fees when you sign up, so it is a little disappointing later on when you see $3 deducted from your balance that took several days or weeks to accumulate.
$30 Payment Threshold
You must earn $30 before you get paid, which is a little high compared to other sites. Unless you spend hours entering your credit card number to pay shipping and handling costs for the top paid offers on the site, it can take weeks before you earn $30. Keep in mind that there’s also the $3 processing fee, so technically, you have to earn $33 to get paid.
Long Wait to Receive Check
Payments are made via check, but you can expect to wait 1 to 2 months before you receive a check in the mail. It took about 2 months for me to get my check in the mail. Some people might have a problem waiting that long to get paid.
Best InboxDollars Alternative
Hopefully my InboxDollars review has provided you with some useful insight so you can make an informed decision whether joining will be worth your time or not. While an Inbox Dollars scam isn’t true, it is a site where you can expect to earn mostly pocket money and nothing more. You would have to work very hard to achieve the $30 threshold every month. Most people accumulate $30 from the site over time.
One of the best alternatives is the free “get paid to” site CashCrate. They are one of the most trusted GPT sites on the Internet and my personal favorite because of their advantages over other GPT sites. They provide several daily paid surveys and up to 15 pages of 100% free offers that DO NOT require a credit card.
Their surveys pay, at the most, $.80 each and their 100% free offers pay as much as $40, but most pay $1 to $2 and take a few minutes to complete. Most importantly, you only have to earn $20 to get paid, not $30 like InboxDollars. You will receive your CashCrate check in the mail no longer than 1 month after earning at least $20.
You never have to use your credit card on CashCrate to make money and there are no processing fees deducted from your payments. It is 100% free. Sign up on CashCrate and start making money today online.
