Make Money Freelance Writing for Triond
Now that the revenue sharing program at eHow is toast, what’s the alternative? Personally, I think that starting your own blog is the better option all together, but that isn’t something that everyone wants to do. If you’re searching for another revenue-sharing site, you’ve probably stumbled upon Triond at one time or another.
I experimented with Triond for a short while and found the earnings to be kind of crappy, especially when comparing it to the old eHow program. On Triond, you make money from Adsense and page views, or impressions.
I joined Triond a few months ago and wrote 5 articles which have generated a few bucks or more so far in Adsense and page views. So far, my Triond articles have done better than the articles I wrote a long time ago on InfoBarrel. This is without any backlinking or promotion and the articles are still very new. If I were to put in solid effort I’m sure I could earn much more.
Freelance writing for Triond requires articles to be approved by an editor before going live. This happens within 2 days. The approval process is light and isn’t strict at all like other sites. Triond is clearing house, sort of like Demand Studios — the articles go live on various sites that the company owns and you earn money when people view your content and click on ads.
There are supposedly writers making a decent amount of monthly income from Triond. I have come across earnings reports in various blogs reporting $100-$200 monthly and as much as $800 or more monthly, but that doesn’t seem to be the norm. I’m sure if you put enough effort into the writing, you could earn passive income on Triond every month.
The nice thing about Triond is that the interface and process of submitting your articles is very clean and easy to use. You can see the number of page views and earnings for each individual article, which is cool. After you write 5 articles, you can connect your Google Adsense account with your Triond account and start earning more money. The Adsense earnings from Triond articles are much more than the measly page view earnings you receive on the site, so if you sign up, it is best to focus on writing 5 articles so you can take advantage of Adsense as soon as possible.
Overall, Triond is a decent site that can certainly help increase your monthly Adsense earnings if you invest enough time into writing, but don’t expect it to be better than sites like Hubpages. I think it would take a considerable amount of content to make a lot of money there. It would make more sense to start a blog instead.
However, when you’re doing keyword research for a new niche site or blog, you’ll often find keywords that are attractive, but just aren’t good enough to build a new site around. Take those mediocre keywords and use them to write Triond articles, or better yet, Hubpages hubs. The one thing I have noticed is that Triond doesn’t seem to moderate their forum at all because it’s full of profanity and ridiculous conversations.
Please share your own experience with Triond, good or bad.
